Using the Hitch Lander hitch guide
Make sure the bottom of your trailer hitch is at least 2" to 3" above the top of your trailer hitch ball on your vehicle. A simple way to check is to use the Hitch Lander as a measuring tool. Stand the Hitch Lander on the ground next to your vehicle-mounted trailer hitch ball. Grasp the rod at the point of the top of the hitch ball, then size it up to your trailer hitch by standing the rod in front of it while making sure it is 2" to 3" higher than where you are holding the rod. For future ease of use, always raise your trailer 2" to 3" off your hitch ball when you are done with it, and you will always be ready to go!
Once you have set your trailer tongue, simply attach the concave magnetic section of your Hitch Lander trailer hitch guide to the front end of your trailer hitch. Note: Does not have to be exactly in front; different approach angles will work.
Once in place, back up slowly to your trailer. As the hitch ball approaches the exact hook-up placement, the Hitch Lander will simply tip over. At this point, you have the perfect trailer hitch alignment.
After a couple of practice runs you will find that the Hitch Lander trailer hitch guide is very easy to use.
